Cancer Survivor

2012年、28歳の誕生日を迎える3日前に「乳がん」と診断され、今もがんサバイバーとして生きる藤原 英理花さん。
自身と同じがんサバイバーを対象とした「明日への希望がわく」写真事業を立ち上げるため現在頑張っています。

今に寄り添い、どんな時でも笑顔を絶やさないその姿に、学ぶことがたくさんあります。
僕の前で全てをさらけ出し、身を委ねてくれた彼女に、僕も全力で向き合って撮影した作品です。
写真スタジオで見た彼女は、まるで菩薩のような輝きでした。

そんな彼女の活動を、僕のライフワークとしてこれからもずっと応援していきます。

In 2012 only 3 days before her 28th birthday, Erika Fujiwara was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is now what’s commonly referred to as a "cancer survivor", trying to live a normal existence despite the great threat.

Erika is working on a project: creating a photo studio to offer other cancer survivors a professional photo shooting experience to help shine light on the beauty of others.

Always smiling, focused and enjoying the present, spending time with her has taught me a lot of valuable lessons.

During our shoot, she allowed me to see ‘her’ - as she is, sans inhibitions. She was like a goddess in front of the lens.
